I use Rich Text Documants for writing as it is instantanious to open files,
unlike the very slow M$ Word (didn't pay for it then, Got it now but don't
use it).
Problem: When I start a page, a paragraph looks right with each line ending
in the same place, below the marker. But when I close it and re open, the
entire paragraph is one long line which I have to scroll across to read. How
can I keep it the way I like it?

If this "Rich Text Documants" [sic] is a program you use for word
processing, then I suggest you consult its help file or the maker.

"Rich Text Format" is a file format, .rtf, used by many WP programs. Are you
perhaps using XP's WordPad to save files in this format? If so, I suggest
you look at the Word Wrap options in View > Options.

Either way, I don't understand what your "no tabs" means in the subject, nor
"each line ending...below the marker."

I will use the help option as suggested, but want to clarify (I don't
understand jargon, just English) I write stories etc by opening a New File
and click onto New Rich Text Document. When I write, The words automatically
stop under the number 15 in the ruler, then starts the next line, creating a
neat paragraph. This is the way I want it to stay every time I re-open the
file, so that I don't have to scroll across. I hate that. Unfortunately, when
I re-open the file an entire paragraph is one very long line.

I will try what you suggest though. Thanks.

First things first: what program (and version) are you doing this all in? I
can't offhand see one called "Rich Text Documants" or "Rich Text
Documents" - if that's actually its name, can you provide a website for the
manufacturer?
