rewrite cd problem

I have an Iomega ZipCD 650 8x4x32 drive in my computer running Windows XP.
I'm able to write to cd-r disks, but not to cd-rw (rewritable) disks. Could
anybody please help me out and tell me why this is or what I should do.

As stated, I'm not sure anyone can give you reasonable assistance to
this question.

If you describe further what you tried, the software you used, the
different CD-RW media you tried, what symptoms (i.e. specific error
messages) brought you to the conclusion that you couldn't write
CD-RW's, then perhaps someone will be able to assist.

Thanks for your reply.
I've tried different software, e.g. the drag and drop featue built into
windows xp.. I get no error message, but the rw-disk remains empty. (No
files shown in windows explorer and "propreties" says the disk has only free
space.) I've had the drive for a couple of years, but never tried to burn to
cd-rw before, so I don't know if the problem is new or not. Cd-r always
worked fine.
