Yesterday i bought a pack of maxell rewritable cd's and burned 8 songs with wmp on 1 cd in mp3 format and when i played them on an audio cd player they dident play.
Yep... Don't use CDRW for audio. they don't work. (and never have done)
Second, and more important, MP3's are treated as DATA and cannot be played back on standard players.... you have to use a program like nero, and choose AUDIO CD when burning, and not MP3.
CD burning software like Nero 6.0 allows you to make a MP3 CD as well
Never burn *.wma files on to disc they never run on CD/MP3 players
Ya! CdRW never play on Cd players
My CD players play CDRW's and my stand alone DVD player as well.
Just depends on the CDRW used and the player.
But I'll agree CDRW's are not to be recommended for audio.
And the files need to be burnt as an audio CD, as others have said. This will create cda files on the CD, which a common CD player will recognise.
Most CD players don't play mp3 files, but oddly enough the majority of in car players do.
