Revising a reply in Outlook 2007

Has anyone come across the scenario where someone is replying to a message in
Outlook2007, and after it is completed they want to click in the paragraph
above to make a change and the cursor will not move? The only thing we can do
is save it to drafts, reopen it and then edit. ?

sounds like the have somehow clicked out of the reply and back into the
original message
