Hi I seem to be getting traffic to my site but people are not staying
or making purchases. Could anyone review my site and give me some
feedback? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Its at

www.directink.biz

Thanks John123

Hi,
Sorry to be blunt but the site looks amateurish, if you're asking for
somebodys credit card details the site needs to look professional as that's
the only way the customer can judge if you're going to deliver his order
properly. Also there's no contact details beyond an email address, you
should have a postal address,a fax and a landline number. It's very easy to
get fax to email and an 0845 number through your broadband so you can look
like a proper business for very little cost. It all helps to inspire
confidence. Why not have a look at some other ink suppliers sites and see if
you can get some ideas. As you know ink is a competitive market and a site
like this isn't going to cut it.

Cheers,

I am running 1024x768 resolution and cannot fit the width of the webpage on
my screen. The thing looks huge. and yes, amateurish.

Hi Thanks for the review. Apart from contact details etc I am not too
sure where to go from here. Would you suggest buying a new web template
and starting again?

Thanks

Hi,
If you're not confident in your design skills a template could be money well
spent. Apart from overall design I think you want 2 things on the home
page - a message stating why they should deal with you. Obviously costs
saving is number one so you might back that up with figures eg save 50% on
your ink or whatever then add fast delivery, easy repeat ordering or
whatever else you offer. Basically hit the user with 2 or 3 good solid
reasons to use the site, if he can't see that upfront he's probably going to
leave. Underneath that some drop down boxes to select a printer. For example
I have an HP Officejet 6310 so I'd like to see a drop down list of makes -
select HP - next box populates with Laserjet/officejet etc next box
populates with model numbers, then a button saying "save on your ink" or
similar.

Put yourself in the customers shoes - you buy ink for your printer so ask
yourself what you'd like to see

Cheers,
Jon
