Our company uses a web based time tracking system that is accessed through
IE. Users who have downloaded Version 7 are experiencing connection problems,
so we need them to switch back to Version 6.

Question 1: Will this present any problems, or should these users simply be
able to downloand Version 6 to replace Version 7?

Question 2: So our instructions are complete, what is safe URL for
downloading Version 6?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You don't need a link for IE6, by just uninstalling IE7 you will be reverted
back to IE6, just tell the users to go to Control panel >> Add/Remove
programs and locate IE7 and uninstall then Reboot you will find IE6 smiley
and forgiven ! for deserting it ;).

I tried this in our situation...
The end user did the Microsoft Updates which pushed him to IE7. Now he can
no longer connect to the internet via the browser or Windows Explorer. I
tried to do the Control Panel >Add/Remove>IE7 but as soon as I hit "Remove"
it reboots the system and does nothing to revert back to IE6. Please help. I
tried to install Mozilla's Firefox as an interim fix but this won't even
start the installation process.

Hi Curious,
Scan for malwares on this machine.
First try to unstall the MSXML4.0 sp2 version and then ry to uninstall IE7
by trying this:
1. Uninstall MSXML4.0 SP2 Security update 925672 using Add/Remove programs
2. Uninstall IE7 Beta 3 using Add/Remove programs, this will get you back to
IE6.
If still no joy read these link about IE7:
