Hi,
Last year I converted my hard drive to NFTS format but would
like to restore to its original specification. The hard-drive showed
the following specifications which is different from the
(manufacturer): Cylinder 28,733 (16.383); Head 16(16) Precomp 0(0);
and Sector 255(63). If I remember correctly, I used partition magic
software to convert it. I doesn't seem to reconvert when I tried
earlier on, perhaps I misunderstood the procedure.
I would appreciate any help to revert the present
specification to the original, then reinstall the operating system.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Its more likely you actually used the OS conversion.

The OS conversion is one way only.

Thats easy enough, if you dont want the data thats on the drive.

You dont say which particular OS you are talking
about but the XP install just gives you the option
of how to format the drive very early on in the install.
