I've put together a macro that reverses the order of the selected
paragraphs. It works fine, but I was wondering of Word has a built-in
capacity to do this.

Hi, Larry,

No, there's nothing built-in -- unless the paragraphs happen to be
either numbered or in alphabetical order, so that you could use Table
Sort and choose Descending order.

This sort of thing probably isn't real high on the list of features
that help MS sell more copies of Office...

Well, there was a job I needed it for. I had a list of titles of
articles that came off a web page, but the sequence was in reverse
chronological order from the order in which the articles were first
published because they were part of a weblog, in which new articles and
their titles are added at the top instead of at the bottom. The items
were not numbered or anything, but I needed to reverse their order, so I
created a macro that did it. First the list is selected, then the macro
applies numbering to the paragraphs, then it changes the numbering to
regular text numbers, then it does a reverse sort, then it deletes the
numbers and spaces preceding each item and applies Normal style to the
selection.
