I am tired of Micromedia Flash Player taking over the web
pages I am viewing with commercials before I can view the
web page I selected. One of my children (or their
friends) checked the box "Always Trust Content from
Macromedia Flash Player" when the box appeared on a web
site and now I can't figure out how to reverse this
preference. I keep deleting the Macromedia software, but
it automatically reloads whenever I visit a page that
offers this download.

Can anyone direct me to the location in Explorer 6.0 where
these preferences are stored so that I can reverse
this "Always Trust" selection? Thanks.

In an IE window, pull down Tools / Options. If you got an "always trust content from" dialog, I think you'll find something here. Maybe I'm out to lunch, but no one else has replied with anything better (or with anything at all) so what can it hurt? (Famous last words.

On the Privacy panel, at the bottom there's an Edit Managed Websites button (if cookies are disabled, you'll have to drag the slider down a little to wake up the Edit button). See if you can find Macromedia in that list, and if it doesn't say, "Always Block," then remove it

On the Security panel, see what you have in the Trusted Zone. Remove anything suspicious

Let us know how you're making out

Cheers
