Hello,
There are quite a few cheap programs (or free) that will do this for
you...one is MovieXone (Do a websearch for the magazine PC Utilities) there
database is HUGE and for a minor cost you can have access to it...you will
not need to go anywhere else for utilities after that.
One of the baasic features of MovieXone is the ability to alter the rate
at which time flows and do so on a per frame basis if you want to go that
low. and for any given length of clip you ccan vary the rate of flow as many
times as there are frames in the clip (which would be silly) The consequence
of this is that you can do the whole job in one go.....let time flow in the
positive direction for a while and at a given rate, then make time flow
backwards at any other rate, then forwards again, and on, and on ,and on You
then send the result of your labour to file (any format except I think .mov)
The beauty of it is...you can watch the whole thing in real time......I use
the big brother of this program which allows for a total of 11 video files
to be displayed at the same time and all doing there own thing to (rotations
in 3D space and some spectacular transitions and effects including image
stabalising for camera work that leaves something to be desired..This
program is called MovieDV and is available from aist.de (US $69)
Best Wishes.....John Kelly
