I am trying to find a way to prevent reverse veiwing of a powerpoint slide
show, is this possible and how can i do this. I am using Office 2007.

You mean you don't want the person to be able to go back to a slide?

If so, then Slide Show | Set up Show | Browsed at a Kiosk. If you use this,
you'll have to provide navigation buttons or something for the users, using
hyperlinks or action settings.

What Echo said.
For the navigation button, you can go to View > Slide Master.
On the slide master, select the first master. Insert a shape and have it
hyperlink to the next slide (right click on the shape, select Hyperlink.
Select place in this document > Next Slide). Close Master View once you are
done.
