Hi PapaJohn,

Have just had a look at your site. What happened to that reverse video plug-in
for MM2 someone created (Sorry can't remember name)? I seem to remember someone
saying it was quite good.

The reason I mention it is because I have just come across some source code
written in Pascal that does amongst other things a reverse effect and what I
was looking for, the ability to write text on captured video...time date stamp,
data rate and such like. I have just used it to capture from my Web Cam at 640
x 480 and at 30fps the results were quite impressive....the software that came
with the web cam always drops frames.

Unfortunately the source code is subject to a license..do not know how much
that is at the moment....but if cheap I am thinking of putting a small free
utility program on my site for download. Will say more when I understand it all
a bit more..but so far I am very impressed with it.

John,

The info I have about reversing clips is on the Editing > Video > Reverse
Effect page of www.papajohn.org

I'm not aware of a plug-in for MM2 that does it.

Hi there,

There was a chap in here who you were communicating, I remember you said
something about how well it worked in reverse.

Hi there,

This is what you wrote, but I can not find the message you refer to....

The process of making a clip play in reverse keeps getting easier, thanks to a
post yesterday about tweaking the custom speed setting in a custom Video Effect.

I just revised my Editing... Video... Reverse Effect page. It includes a link to
my new custom Video Effect (one that speeds up a clip by 375% - the right amount
to take your sequence of still images in at the minimum setting of 1/8 second...
and play the finished clip at 30 fps in reverse.

Hi there,

Cancel what I was saying about using this rather wonderful component I found
for doing reverse effects and adding Time and Date stamps to the clips....I
have just been working my way through the registration process when all of a
sudden the price of registration appeared....when I first looked at it I
though, "Bet that's not for a 100 copies!!"" The cost is US $1395
...................back to the drawing board

Yes, I wrote it, but it's referring to speeding up the clip that is made by
loading a batch of still images as frames, and loading them in reverser sort
order.... the method I describe on the page.
