Reverse "allow full menus"

I unchecked Allow full menus for a .accdb file. How can go back to full menus?

(Unfortunately, you cannot simply re-check the box because the check box is
not available under the limited menus setup.)

I did try it, but still did not get full menus.

However, my coworker stumbled on a solution:
if you click the down arrow on the quick access toolbar, and then
select "more commands", the Access options window opens up

That's because you apparently let the Shift key up too soon. Keep this key
pressed until the database finishes opening up. (I just unchecked Allow Full
Menus in Northwind.accdb, closed and restarted Access so that this setting
would take effect. I then opened Access normally to verify that I had only
limited options when clicking on the Office button. I closed Access and
re-opened while holding down the Shift key. My full menus were back.

You (or someone) would have previously had to set the AllowByPassKey
property to False in this database, in order to defeat the Shift key trick.
If you had known about this, then you would have likely known how to get back
in already.

Also JG in case it wasn't clear, the shift-key trick only gives you full
access to the menus for that one instance of opening the file. It does not
reset the option and thus does not affect what will happen if you close and
open the file again. If you want to permanently bring back full menus you
use the shift-key trick once and then after gaining access to the menus you
change the setting in Startup.
