Having just returned to PowerPoint after a long hiatus I'm finding
myself having to rapidly acquaint myself with the 2007 interface!
Does anyone know if it is possible to customise and tear off toolbars
like earlier versions? Also is there a keyboard shortcut for the
guidelines?

Any advice, greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Alt+F9 will turn on and off the guides.

Sorry, there aren't any tearoff menus anymore.

You can customize the QAT that's at the very top of the screen by default.
Just right-click it to get started.

Thanks for the prompt reply, pity about the toolbars, a retrograde
step in my opinion.

I agree. I hope they come back next version, but I'm not holding my breath.
