Return to parent page where I left it

How can I return from a child page to the parent page at the same place where
I left the parent page using navigation buttons? Thanks.

You wouldn't be able to very easily with "general" site navigation, but if
you want to go to a specific link/location and then back again to where you
were you could use bookmarks. On the page you're linking from insert an "a
name". On the page you've linked to add a back button or back hyperlink that
goes back to that "a name".

Can you not open the link in a new window. That way the parent page
would not change.
