Just installed IE7 and cannot find a way to get rid of that first screen
and have my blank page load instead. I always get the "what do you
want to do, take a tour, go to your homepage, download...... " etc. I
tried blocking the URL in the security center. That didn't work. Is
there a way to get rid of that screen?
Is it better to just go back to IE6?
Is there a 'tried and true' way to uninstall and go back to 6?

I saw a reference to a "2 keys registry fix" which sounded good. Where
would I find that?

I'm not posting on the microsoft site newsgroup:

because it requires registration.

Those using IE7 are asked to post their comments & questions to and seek
support in microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup, which does
NOT require registration of any kind (unless you're accessing it via the web
interface and want to receive Mail Notifications of replies, in which case
you'll need to sign in with a Live.com ID).
