I am getting email returned to me that I did not send,
but has my address on it. Any ideas? I regularly run
Viruscan and have a firewall. I have also tried Spybot.

Not sure what this has to do with IE6, but...
Someone ELSE probably has a computer virus...that exploits Outlook/OE address
book (and you are in the person's address book). These viruses spoof email
messages, using addresses

Bob,
These are being sent from another computer (almost certainly virus
infected.) Your address was put in the "From" field by the virus. Your
address is being used simply because it was found in some file or another on
that infected machine.

Some recent viruses look for addresses in many types of files, including
HTM/HTML, EML, DOC & NWS.

There's nothing you can do except keep up your guard and get friends and/or
acquaintances to use an anti-virus program.

Regards,
Don

The Virus is not on your machine. Its is probably on one of your
friends' who has your email in his addressbook or in the messages.

But if you are getting many emails which have your own email in the
senders field, try setting up rules to block your own name in the
sender, unless you want to send mail to yourself. But this is only a
receiver-end option.

But the only way to stop the emails is either your unknown friend runs
his antivirus, or your message or email getting off his system
[Newsserver deletes your message or something like that..].
