Return (enter) key stops working

For some reason my Return (Enter) key stops working. When I go to an
earlier system configuration I can get it to start working again. I think
it's some sort of spyware that is screwing it up. I have Pest Patrol but
that is not help. Can anybody help???

Try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.

You should consider also the possibility that the keyboard is damaged,
try to swap it for another one and see if the problem persists.
