In case this is the wrong Discussion Group, please recommend alternative...
Have currently lost access to all files, including photos of baby twins.
Please help.
PC died, when motherboard burnt out. Hard drive transferred to new PC, but
when I try to access them I get "D:\FOLDER NAME is not accessible. Access is
denied."
Shop says that I must have made my files "private" when I created identities
some time ago, and that as a result the files are now encrypted. They also
say that if the hard drive is not in the original machine, the files will
remain inaccessible, and that because the motherboard is no longer available,
there's no solution.
Is this true? What solutions/options are there?
Please help!
Many thanks
