retrieving photos from an email

I can t seem to be able to view photos sent to me. it has
a link to paste to my browser, but when i click. nothing
happens. Can anyone help?

It is likely the sender is doing something incorrectly.
They may be sending you a link to a file location on
their PC, which you cannot access via the Internet. They
need to send the file as an attachment.
If the link you describe is "http://www" something, then
it should launch an IE browser window to pull up the
site. If that gives you a Page not Found error, the link
is dead.
