Several days ago I inadvetently deleted a powerpoint
presentation I was working on. I checked my recycle bin
and it wasn't there. How can I get it back?

In addition, and if you have not cleaned your system. You might be lucky and find a .tmp file that is the around the same size as your PowerPoint presentation. change the extension from .tmp to .ppt, and see if PowerPoint will open it.

You need to be *real* lucky at this point, or maybe locate a backup that you
have forgotten about. You need an undelete utility made for your operating
system. And, you need to hope that the physical space used by this file on
your HDD has not been already allocated to something else. Kinda like
leaving a parking lot and hoping to get that same space again.

Norton has some tools, and the first hit on a Google search is
http://www.uneraser.com/undelete.htm

Here's the rub: if you keep working on that same computer, your recovery
chances drop even further, for every minute you continue on that machine. If
you download a tool you should do it from some other computer. Good Luck,
Barb. :-)
