retrieving deleted files

My son accidently deleted the file "My Music" which
contained 100's of my mp3s, it was to big to go to the
recycle bin. Is there anyway I can restore this file??
I am running windows xp home editon and have tried system
restore which did not solve problem. HELP!!!

One thing you could try is purchasing the Norton
Utilities program or Norton System Works, it has an
Unerase feature that can search for your music files, and
if you know the name of them (that helps) you might be
able to reinstall them that way perhaps.
 
Hi -

A Google search for "undelete" will show you several choices for
products that should be able to get some or all of the files back.
Keep in mind that the more disk activity that happens after the
deletion, the lower the chances of recovery are, since the deleted
files you want to recover can be overwritten by other file activity.
