Retrieving data from my old 1997 Outlook to new version 2007

I updated to Windows 2007 (from the 97 version) yesterday and somehow all the
data from my calendar and tasks has disappeared. I did back up before the
update but cannot seem to find these.

So where and how did you "backup"?
