I was trying to save a presentation to a CD, and somehow I
ended up replacing the entire presentation with a single
blank slide, is there any way I can retrieve the last
version before I deleted it with the blank slide? Please
say there is a way!

This is not a good thing. Recovery, if possible at all, will not be quick.
You should consider the amount of time it would take to recreate the
presentation prior to investing the time and effort in a recovery attempt.

The odds of recovering part or all of your presentation are fairly long, but
it is occasionally possible to recover from the temp files.

What you should do is this:
Navigate to your temp file folder.
Locate a file of the approximate correct size and date.
Copy this file to another location
Rename file to a .PPT extension
Try to open it with PowerPoint
If this is your file -- great! Save it as something else
If not, repeat for each qualified file in the temp folder.

In the future, you may want to save versions of your presentations, so that
the most you will loose will be the latest modifications, instead of the
entire show. This add-in will help you do this:

Sorry for the not-so-great news,
