Retrieve image embedded in Word doc

I inserted some images into a Word doc. Then by mistake I deleted the
images (they're not in the Recycle bin anymore).

Is there a way I can extract the images from the Word doc? I didn't
compress the images or anything like that, so I'm hoping that the
images are still there, intact.
