Hi,
Please bear with me. I'm totally new to this type of programming. But it
looks like I will be able to do some nifity automation of tasks between
Word and Access.
Here is what I need to do.
Assume the Word document is open, I'm writing a letter and now need to fill
in the address. I want to be able to select and address that is probably
stored in Access. It should work like this. I presume I can have a button,
maybe, that I press and it would open a text box where I can type in the
Name of the person. This would then do a search in the Access table and
return the address associated with that name and then fill in the address
in the Word document.
I'm sure something like this is achievable, but since I'm totally new to
this, I need a few pointers. Are there free online tutorials that go into
this sort of stuff? Any good book recommendations would also be
appreciated.
Thanks!
Dan.
