I an developing a form that will be printed. The form consists of a header
containing title info, a subform in the detail section that contains a
variable number of records, and a footer with the usual date and page no
info. If I print the form, and there is more than a page full, the second
page only contains the surplus records from the subform. Is there a method
that allows me to show the form header and footer on each page?

thanks

Forms are for data entry, manipulation and display; they are not
intended for printing, except in the very simplest sense. Design a
Report for this.

Thanks Hugh. Normally, I would do exactly what you suggest, but this form
requires a degree of user interaction immediately prior to printing, plus,
I'm a long way into the development. Apart from this one minor snag,
everything else works exactly as planned. As a last resort, I could of
course revert to using a report, but would like to carry on using the form
if it's practical......

thanks again

The solution is not to have a header or a footer at all, and to put all the
elements that would have been there onto the detail section. You can fiddle
around with the properties if you want to make some things visible only when
printed or on screen or both..... or you can design a report layout which
looks like the form....
