I think my database is sick. Have you ever seen anything like this:
I run a 2 table join query (one-to-many), it returns 908 rows. I highlight
2 cols to sort A-Z and when its done, only 774 rows are displayed.

do I need to up the size of a sort work file or something??

Compact repair did not help.
thanks,
J

It is not usual at all. There is nothing special to be done when you sort.

Either the database is 'sick' as you said, either there is something else
than a sort implied (such as a filter being also applied).

Is it reproductible with the database Northwind?

I've seen troubles with the A-Z sort buttons. Instead of using that, go to
query design view and sort there. See if that causes any problems. I doubt if
it will.
