I recieve an email as a reciept as an *.html file attachment from a vendor
of ours and everytime I try to open the attached *.html file, it opens it in
IE in the Restricted Sites zone and it doesn't show me any of the content of
the receipt.

I have tried saving the attachment to my computer is various folders, but it
still opens the same way. I am running Windows XP SP2.

I did open it on a Windows 2000 machine and it worked fine, so the file is
not corrupt, it just appears that I have some settings that are not allowing
me to view the content of the receipt. Any suggestions?

Hi Jason,

Does the HTML source code contain the "Mark of the web" line similar to the following?

<!-- saved from url=(0023)http://www.contoso.com/ -->

I guess my answer is kind of. It has the following line in the source code:

<!-- saved from url=(0022)http://internet.e-mail -->

The only difference I see is that yours is the number 23 and mine is the
number 22. Does this mean something?

Anyone else have any suggestions? I tried all those work arounds that they
have listed and nothing works. The *.html file continues to open in the
"restricted sites" zone.

I even tried to change the "mark of the web" to reference a website that I
know opens in the "Internet" zone and that didn't work either.

Suggestions please???

Hi,
The number 22 is the number of characters in the URL, so <!-- saved from
url=(0022)http://internet.e-mail --> is a valid Mark of the Web. There
are
several workarounds you might try at
