Alexandre A.

Hi,

Someone played with the GPO on the Domain level and
restricted me (the adminitrator user) to login. The
recovery console was not installed. It is the only DC and
I have no option to login locally.
Does someone have an idea before I format?
Thanks for help.

If you can log onto other domain computers, then install Adminpak [on install cd in
I386 folder] on one of them. Log on as domain administrator and make the changes from
that workstation. The changes probably were not at the domain level if you can log
onto a domain member, but in the domain controller security policy
stead. ---Steve

Here are a few ideas:

Install the Admin Tools on a Windows 200 Pro or Windows XP client and try to
change the policy back from there.

If they only restricted you from login perhaps you can still use the Runas
command to specify your domain account and perform administrative tasks.

You may have been removed from the User Rights section of the Default Domain
Controller policy

"Logon Locally"

If it was the Logon Locally right you may be able to launch a Terminal
Services session and remotely change the policy back.

Good luck!
