Restoring unsaved data from Notepad?

Hi: I saved a Notepad file ABC.txt at about 01:25pm, but entered about 6
hours of data and then accidentally closed the file without saving it. My
understanding is that Notepad does not have an autosave option, so I can't
find the .tmp file.

Is there any way I can recover the data since I last saved the file? Any
help for my slipery fingers would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Doug

Sorry, Notepad is a very simple ASCII text editor and you are most likely SOL.
Question: Why would you put so much effort (6 plus hours) in to a Notepad file?
Even if you needed to stay with an ASCII file (write the data in a better word processor) and then
copy and paste into Notepad when you are done. MS Word, MS Works, WordPerfect and even OpenOffice
Writer (free) will autosave at selected intervals.

Thanks Richard,

Yeah, I know better and I am always "Ctrl-S" ing, but this time I must have
had temporary amnesia. Actually, I thought I hit the "Ctrl-S", but must have
done something else. Then when I saw the popup window, I hit "Cancel" before
even reading what it said and that's when the screen went blank. Guess I
have to re-learn my lesson again from time to time. :-(
