I goofed and uninstalled MS Office XP professional. I can't find original
software but have heard that it can be undone. Any suggestions?

No...an uninstall cannot be undone. Look for your original install CD.

If you know the product key, you can use any same-version CD or (if it's
the 2007 version) download the installer from Microsoft, and when
prompted, insert your product key.

That install CD, and the jacket it came in, is worth a lot of money. You
need to keep track of where you put it.

You've heard incorrectly.

Unless you have an image of the drive that you can restore, you can't undo
this. You have to reinstall.

If the .exe is on the drive , then install from there .

If you have a folder named MSOCache on your computer -- it's 907 mb on
mine for Office 2007 -- you may be able to reinstall Office. You'll need
to Google for directions and you probably need your product key, too.

Otherwise, I'd keep looking for the original software and plan ahead in
the future.
