restoring the default administrator settings

Hi,

Dumb question from dumb user.

Currently have a new 'administrator1' account and a guest account. Cannot,
however, see the original administrator account at the welcome screen or from
the control panel.

Can, however, see that the original account exists when I look at folder
structure.

I need to restore the old/default administrator account.

Any suggestions as it is not obvious where to go on this one.

Try booting into Safe Mode to see if that works. If you have created another
user account that is in the local administrator group you should be able to
do what you need with that account. You can use the command net localgroup
administrators to see members of the administrators group. --- Steve
