Restoring Outlook Contacts from a .pst file to sync back to I Phon

My Outlook contacts were incidently deleted by Itunes when Syncing my I Phone
to my new laptop. I recovered my contacts from MS 2003 archive file and
imported them into MS 2007 Outlook. However, they saved as Contacts -
Personal Folder. Two problems! First, I cannot get the I-Phone to recognize
the Contacts - Personal Folder as the default Contacts and sync them to the I
Phone. Second, I would like to restore the original contacts directly to the
primary contacts folder in Outlook, but they keep restoring as yet another
Personal Folder. Yes! - I tried syncing the I Phone with the Old Lap Top.
However, it is too far gone to be of any use in the process (Broken USB port,
etc.). How do I get my Contacts restored and working as the default contacts
for both Outlook and I Tunes?

An Archive Folder? Contacts are never archived.
You would never import Contacts to restore them. Why don't you just copy
them to the Folder your sync software needs?

Russ,

Thank you for your input. However, my file copy (backup) will not copy
directly to Contacts. It creates an additional Contacts folder as a
subfolder. Do you have any idea how I copy my Contacts directly into the
primary Contacts folder?

Open the new Contacts.Select all. Right-click. Move to Folder. Select
old Contact Folder Click OK.
