Restoring Outlook 2000 Toolbar|Time Meter

Well, I thought I had it made. Time Meter is being
marketed as being ideal for time|billing with Outlook---
basically, a rework of the Journal timing feature. I
installed it, ended up with 4 (!) buttons in the upper
toolbar, all named Time Meter and endless error messages,
which I dutifully sent to MC.

I uninstalled Time Meter and Outlook. Restarted.
Reinstalled Outlook, and the blasted buttons are still
there. The Time Meter website offers no help at all---
truly no support.

Can anyone suggest registry changes, and procedures from
here? Thanks.

See if there are any Time Meter add-ins still listed here:

Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Add-In Manager button and COM
Add-Ins button. If there are, disable them or delete them.

Thanks for your reply. I did as instructed, but still
have the Time Meter buttons. Should I try the registry---
or perhaps this is a code change in VB or some other
scripting app.

You can try deleting or renaming the outcmd.dat file, which holds toolbar
customizations, while Outlook is closed...Outlook will rebuild the default
toolbars when you next start it. The only trouble with this is you'll lose
any other customizations you might have made.

If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, you'll need to search in hidden and
system folders to find the outcmd.dat file.
