Restoring DNS Primary

Hi,

Messed up my test environment. For some reason I couldn't get
test-clients to talk to the DC. Running GPOtool gave me:

Error: get DC list

Which a google search showed that 8007054b occured when the DC couln't
be found. I was guessing this was a DNS issue, so I deleted the DNS
Zone, and re-created it. Only I expected AD to auto-update the SRV
records, but it hasn't so how do I do that ???

The SRV records are created by the Netlogon service, restart the netlogon
service and run netdiag /fix
If you are still having problems, does the Primary DNS suffix match the AD
Domain name (disjointed namespace) and is the zone this name also.

Thanks for the info. below is the output of the netdiag tool running on
the DNS server. I tried stop/starting the netlogon on both the DC and
DNS servers (independantly), but still no joy. I still don't see the
SRV records under the DNS domain listing.

I guess the "DC list test" fails because of the SPN failure??

Never mind. I saw that if I run it on the DC itself, then it fixed the
DNS server. No I'll check out everything else....
