I run a Win2000 AD with 11 WinXP Pro clients. This
network setup is located in a public library, and the
client PC's are part of a computer lab that provide public
access to the Internet. I am having major problems with
spyware infections on the PC's. I have implemented group
policies to restrict access to the PC, such as accessing
the hard drive, control panel, network settings, etc., but
spyware is still finding its way in. Is there a way that
I can set my domain up, so that when a user logs out, the
client will restore all files and settings to a previous
state at the next login? Basically what I am saying, can
I image the machine when I have my desired setup, and then
after a user is done, have a group policy revert the
client back to this image? Or can anyone suggest anyway
on how to best take care of this spyware battle? Thanks
for any and all help and suggestions.
