Restoring? bring back files?

If I restore my computer:
a. what does that all mean?
b. If I had accidentily deleted files, will restoring the computer back to
an earlier date when I had those files, bring them back??

Please see my answer to your first post. Be patient - today is still
Christmas in many parts of the world. And no, doing a System Restore will
not bring back you lost files.

Find your original post in this newsgroup -
microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics - and see my reply. If you can't find
your post, use Google Groups Advanced Search and constrain the search to
this newsgroup and your name and today's date.

Depends on what you mean by "restore." System Restore? using an OEM's
restore CD?

Assuming that you are talking about data files, in neither case, no, it
won't.
