Bill,
Which Domain Controller is not on-line? I could guess that either is off
line!
Just a couple of notes: running Terminal Server on a Domain Controller is
not a good idea ( assuming that the WIN2003 Server is a Domain
Controller...somewhat unclear by your choice of the term 'secondary' ). In
fact, you can not be running Terminal Server in Application Mode on
WIN2003 - but you can in Remote Admin Mode.....
Have you checked the Exchange related Services? Are they all set correctly
( meaning, none of them are now somehow set to 'Manual' )?
Why do you state 'appears to be offline'? Is it or is it not?
Did you have a UPS attached? Were you able to get to it before it was
rudely shut down?
Sorry, but we need more information. In your attempt to be short and to the
point ( well, I am assuming this here ) I think that we are missing the
point. But I can only speak for myself!
First things first: is the SBS Server up and running? If it is, can it find
and bind to all five of the FSMO Roles? You can do this by any number of
ways....if you have the Support Tools installed simply use 'netdom query
fsmo'. Is the SBS Server a Global Catalog Server? Meaning, does it
advertise itself as a Global Catalog Server?
Are there any event ids that might help us?
If you do an ipconfig /all does it give you the correct information? Is
there still a network card installed ( according to Device Manager )? Can
you ping it from any other system in your environment ( via IP Address,
NetBIOS and FQDN )?
