restoring address bar links

I did the usual delete temporary internet files, clear
history, etc for a user. While this solved his problem, he
didn't have any of the addresses saved to his favorites.
Is there a way to recover the links that were in the
address bar?

Do you only mean the 25 TypedUrls held in the Registry under this key?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Recover them from a Registry backup.
