I inadvertently deleted a Folder ... is there any way I can restore the
folder and its contents? I do not have a backup of my mail. THx

When you delete something in Windows Mail it goes into the
Deleted Items folder. If you empty that folder, recovery is uncertain
and can't be done from within Windows Mail. Try a file undelete
utility like Recuva: http://www.piriform.com/recuva

THx Gary - if I delete a single message it goes to the Deleted Items folder,
but I deleted an entire Folder (which contained a number of messages). The
deleted Folder does not appear in Deleted Items, or at least I cannot find it
anywhere. I'll look at your suggested undelete utility.

A deleted folder normally presents itself as a + sign next to the deleted
items folder.

There is no folder with a + sign anywhere that I can see. I tested by
creating a new folder and then deleting it... nothing shows up in deleted
items folder. Does it make any difference that my Windows Mail is working
with an IMAP Server? (my service supplier is SaskTel)

I also ran the Recuva utility and it found a few deleted messages but didn't
appear that any were from the folder I deleted. Perhaps I should contact my
service supplier and they may be able to recover the folder and messages
contained within?

The message store has a directory hierarchy that matches the folder
hierarchy, so you can go to the message store location and look under Local
Folders and see if the directory named after the folder you deleted is still
there. The location of the message store can be found at Tools | Options |
Advanced | Maintenance | Store Folder. See also www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx
for background on how messages are stored in WinMail.

For the future, disable the folder list and enable the folder bar under View
| Layout and it will be much more difficult to delete an entire folder.
Also you might consider making a backup if you consider your messages
important.

Perhaps the folder was moved to another folder. Expand all folders that have
a + to see the subfolders of each.

Tried the "Reset List" and folder did not appear. Yesterday I logged into
sasktel.net and folder is not there either. Will contact SaskTel. to see what
they can do.

If it is gone from the server, only the server techs (Sasktel) can help you.
