Restores Everytime PC Boots

Hi;

We have a computer running Windows XP that Restores the system everytime the
computer is rebooted.

It does not matter whether it is a cold shut down or a warm reboot,
everytime the computer boots up the "System Restore" dialog box appears
telling me that the computer has been restored to an earlier date.

The date seems to be randon, 1 week, 10 days, 2 weeks.

Have tried sysedit, msconfig and startup folder.

How do You turn this off?

One thing to do is to eliminate all Restore Points except for the most
recent. Look in Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup > Select Drive >
More Options > System Restore > Cleanup and hit OK when asked to delete all
restore points except for most recent. (At least you can't go back except to
the most recent.)

Don't know how to fix what's causing the problem.

Before doing so, could you please run srdiag.exe and send me a few files?

Run the srdiag.exe tool to create a Cab containing the System Restore
files in text format so I can take a look.
1. Click Start, click Run.
2. Type or paste the following: "%windir%\system32\restore\srdiag.exe"
(without the quotation marks) and either press Enter or click OK.
3. A CMD window will open while the Srdiag.exe runs. The CMD session will automatically
close when complete, and the .CAB file will be
created as desired in your 'Windows\system32\restore' folder. Please be patient as this
could take a several minutes.
4. Place the following files into a new folder and Zip them, and send it to me at
(e-mail address removed) (remove the NS) to send.

RS-RSTRLOG.TXT
