Windows XP. Address book disappeared 10/24 after
automatic Windows update. How do I find address book or
restore the address book file? I am not familiar
with 'system restore'.
 
Search your hard drive for *.wab and *.wa~ and you'll find it. Automatic
Windows Update has no effect on your address book - if you can't find it,
then there is some other reason.
