I saw a computer with Windows 2000 where, after switching the PC off and
on, they got all the windows on the desktop restored again in the same
position they had before switching off.
How can I achieve the same function?
Thank you
Horst

I suspect you want all the shortcuts on the desktop restored,
not the "windows". This link might help:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_d.htm (Lock desktop icons)
It works for Win2000 too.

Maybe PersistBrowser?

Automatically Have Windows Reopen Folders on Boot

Don't you hate when a program you just installed forces you to reboot
without your permission? Every program you were working on closes an
there's nothing you can do about it. Unfortunately, you cannot make
Windows reopen the programs that were running before shutdown, but you
can make it reopen any folders.

Thanks a lot!
