Hi,

Installed Vista on a new hard drive in a client's computer. Left the
old hard drive in the computer. The client needs to restore the
contacts from the old hard drive to the new Vista installation on the
new hard drive.

How can this be done?

Thanks.

By making sure it's connected to the motherboard.
It will automatically be detected as new hardware and allow you to access
anything on the drive,
conforming with Vista.
That's an educated guess!

Harry.

It really depends on which application(s) the user is using.

Typically, you run the application on the old computer *before* installing
the new OS, and export the address book in accordance with the
application's instructions.

Once the new system is running, you import the address book into the
current application (which might be a different one) from the saved file,
so the export has to be compatible with the new application's import
function.

The best places to find about about these things are the manuals for the
application(s) or in newsgroups devoted to the application(s).
