restore previous file and folder structure of a hard drive

A software program reorganized my MP3 files and totally
messed up the structure that I had, including renameing
files and ID3 tags. Is there anyway I can restore this
structure to it's previous condition. I tried the system
restore, but it didn't touch my files or the directory
structure.

Let me guess, iTunes? :-)

As far as I know, you'll have to go through and put them back in order
yourself. System Restore will not undo that type of change. Sorry.
 
You got it iTunes! 37 gig of mp3's years of ripping and
downloading destroyed. I wish I had kept using my image
software with Symantic. I may have had a chance.

Thanks anyway. I pretty much new the answer. I guess I
just wanted confirmation before I start the long arduous
task.
