Restore Points

Hello All,
My Windows Vista Home edition will not create a restore point, HP Pavilion
laptop.

What are your anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements? What firewall are
you using?

Dual booting with XP or having Norton Anti Virus or Security suite installed can also create this issue

Not dual booting, Norton 360 came pre installed from Fry's and I installed
all the updates as listed by MS for this machine. I do have an external HD
that I've backed up my data to, but it doesn't ask for this drive to be
connected to create a restore point. I just uninstalled Norton 360 to see if
this was in fact the issue but it still would not create the restore point.

Norton is not really uninstalled until you run this:
