Hi there,
I have cancelled off something from my web site that I am building by
mistake - is there any way I can retrieve it as it has not gone into the
recycle bin?

Not unless you were working in an online site where the host has a backup
- FP does not / can not use the recycle bin

If you deleted it in FrontPage, it is gone forever - FP does not use the
recycle bin.
There may be a copy on your live site if you have already published.
 
Oops - looks like I've totally pooped there then - still if you don't make
mistakes you won't learn - it is really annoying though!
