In the standard HP Vista protocol for deleting Restore Points, all the
Points are removed except the most recent.

Is there a process whereby the oldest Restore Point can first be saved and
still be usable if needed? Perhaps copied to a CD, then copied back after
purging the intermediate Points.

Thanks!

In XP that would definitely be a No. Restore points are chained. Unless
something has changed dramatically in Vista, I would think it can't be done
there either.

No, this can't be done in Vista. If you are using Ultimate or Business
editions, you could save a Complete PC Backup to DVD, which sort of
acccomplishes the same thing in that it's a permanent point-in-time image of
your OS.

Thank, Jill.
