What do you mean when you say "Movie Maker Backup File" ? The reason I ask
is because Movie Maker does not make backups.
If you have made a backup of your system with software intended for that
purpose then the question becomes, "What software did you make the backup
with"?
If you have simply saved the movie files to a disk or other hard drive for
safekeeping, then all you need do is copy them back.
As far as I know, the act of changing from MM1 to MM2 will not make any of
your video's un-playable. So the question becomes, What happens when you
try to play one of these files, is there an error message and if so, what
is the error message?
